2. What We Collect
We collect only what we need to provide our services:
Contact form submissions
When you fill out our contact form we collect your name, email address, website URL (optional), and your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Website URLs for AI analysis
Our free scout tool asks you to submit a website URL. That URL — and the publicly accessible content at that URL — is analyzed by an AI system (Claude, developed by Anthropic) to generate SEO recommendations. See Section 4 for full AI disclosure.
Standard server logs
Like all web servers, ours records IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These logs are used for security and debugging only and are not linked to your identity.
Analytics (future)
We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated and we will disclose exactly what tool is used and what it collects.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the SEO services you've requested.
- To analyze your website and generate the free SEO report you asked for.
- To communicate updates relevant to your project or our services.
- To diagnose and fix technical issues on our site.
- To comply with legal obligations if required.
4. AI Analysis Disclosure
Our scout tool uses Claude, an AI assistant developed by Anthropic, to analyze the website URL you submit and generate SEO recommendations.
When you submit a URL, that URL is sent to Anthropic's API along with a prompt instructing Claude to audit the publicly visible content. Only publicly accessible information from your site is used — no passwords, no private data.
The analysis result is displayed to you in your browser session. We may store a copy of the report internally to improve our service. We do not share individual reports with third parties.
As of March 2026, Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for current data handling terms.
5. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or broker your personal information to any third party — ever. We do not run advertising networks or share data with data brokers.
6. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site:

7. Cookies
We currently use no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies present are functional — for example, session state needed to display your analysis result. These cookies are not used to track you across other sites.
If we add analytics cookies in the future, we will update this section and provide a consent mechanism where required by law.
8. Data Retention
- Contact form submissions — retained for up to 2 years so we can reference prior conversations if you become a client, then deleted.
- Scout analysis reports (including the submitted URL) — may be retained internally for up to 12 months for quality review purposes.
- Server logs — automatically purged after 90 days.
You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 10.
9. Your Rights Under Applicable Law
If you are a resident of the United States, you may have the following rights under applicable state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act):

Request a copy of what personal data we hold about you.

Request deletion of your personal data from our systems.
Right to correct
Request that inaccurate data be corrected.
Right to opt out
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising purposes. You may ask us to stop all direct contact at any time.
Right to portability
Request your data in a machine-readable format.
No discrimination
We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. For material changes — defined as any modification to how personal data is collected, used, shared, or retained — we will notify clients with an active service agreement by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
